Ichneumon Parasite

Post by Chris Pickford »

Is anyone out there an ichneumon expert? I've had a number of these come into my house recently (jan) and I was wondering whether they had hatched from the parasite pupae I spotted in late summer on several parasitised Eyed hawk larvae I found on an apple tree near my front door. they are about 22mm long, ginger and similar in appearance to a species identified in Collins as Netelia testacea but with different body markings.
