fieldcraft outfit

Post by it344x »

Chaps,
When you go awandering with youir photographic gear what outfit do you tend to wear? i.e. do you look like Rambo with DPM , or normal hiking gear or special photographic jackets with zillions of pockets etcetc
Also - do you walk and happen to image objects you see or do you go out specifically to image and just happen to walk a lot ?

cheers
Martin

I wear pretty-much normal clothing (whatever that is!) - jeans and T-shirt - although I will generally wear sensible footwear for long walks. I also try not to wear bright colours but neutral greys, browns etc. But that's probably because I have no fashion sense whatsoever :) I also wear a hat if it's very sunny.

In terms of gear - I have all of my "gadgets" in a Lowepro bag (this is a specialist bag for camera gear) on my back, with my camera around my neck. If I'll be in one place for a while I'll put the back down on the ground.

When I go out it's to photograph things - and walking is a side-effect, rather than the other way round!

Cheers,

- Pete
