Day flying moths

Just a couple for the moth people to id. The second one was being hassled by Dingy skippers. :)

The first is a burnet companion, Euclidia glyphica, and the second (I think), Pyrausta nigrata.

Burnet companions are constant accompaniments to chalk downland walks and it is a pity we usually dismiss them as they are very attractive moths.

nice pics, zonda. I like burnet companions. There were good numbers of these out yesterday along side the burnets. Today we saw plenty of mother shiptons.
