Egyptian Moth to ID please

My brother took this pic in Cairo this week... do you know what kind of moth it is ?

Hi Charles,
Judging by the pattern on it's wing, it looks like a "Heart and Dart" (Agrotis exclamationis). If not, it must be a very closely-related species.

Yes, I'd say it's the closely related Dark Sword-grass - Agrotis ipsilon, an almost cosmopolitan species.

Yep, I'd second Dark Sword Grass. I found a migrant one last year.
