Re: Lewington Original Images for Sale
They look great, but I'm afraid I don't have a spare £250-300 lying around for one or I'd might consider getting one. Was actually very surprised they would cost so much really.
Cheers all,

That's because they're the original paintings, Dave. Prints cost a lot less!Dave McCormick wrote:They look great, but I'm afraid I don't have a spare £250-300 lying around for one or I'd might consider getting one. Was actually very surprised they would cost so much really.

Yes Pete,
You would be paying for a true works of art with these ones - Lewington's illustrations are just perfect aren't they? You can tell if someone who really knows his subject paints wildlife and, as always, these are scale perfect and really do look like the butterflies they represent. How the devil does he do it?... With all the images he has done over the years, his eyes still seem to be totally in tune with his subject and I would dearly love one of his illustrations on my wall. What medium does he use I wonder - the colours are so rich and they couldn't really be more realistic?

Re: Lewington Original Images for Sale
Richard did ask me if he could use a few of my images last year to work from. Of course, I was honoured and only too happy to help. But if you want to really see the realism, take a look at the comparison below. The man is a genious! As for technique etc., I'm hoping to interview Richard at the end of March. Watch this space!Trev Sawyer wrote:Yes Pete,
