Tis mid Winter, and there's all of nasty old February to get through yet. But driving under a blue sky today with the sun shining, the Downs sure looked tempting.

A snowdrop was in bloom in the front garden today. I know it isn't early, there were even some a few streets away flowering before Christmas, but its still nice to see one here all the same.

Our 27 chickens, having collectively laid about 4 eggs per day up till the middle of last week when the cold snap ended, have now more than doubled their output to 9 or 10.
Think it's more to do with extended daylight to be honest but it's positive nonetheless.
