Can anybody hel;p with this one please.
Re: Help please
Chloroclysta citrata/truncata. From that angle I can't tell which. The flight time could give a clue, but I'm not familiar with their times in GB.

Re: Help please
Common Marbled Carpet (Chloroclysta truncata) flies from August-October in UK where as Dark Marbled Carpet (Chloroclysta citrata) flies from July-August. eddie17, when was the image taken?

Re: Help please
Thanks for the help, really appreciated. Have attached some more if you have the time. Cheers Eddie B.
Re: Help please
Flight-time is no guide - both fly from May into early November in two generations. Dark Marbled Carpet normally shows a more dentate (jagged) trailing edge to the median line, and often has extensive white patches; it is decidedly less common than Common Marbled in the south but often replaces it in northern England and Scotland. The moth in this picture is a classic Common Marbled by coloration.
