... painted lady?
the local nursery school had a thing each year where they imported painted lady pupas to study the growth cycle etc and this carried on for like ten years. this is in my garden west cornwall, 200yds from the school in a valley types place sea on one side a moorland on the other

Yes vawn, it's a Painted Lady, but if your thinking it came from the school, probably not.

The Painted Lady is a migratory species, with quit a few, usually turning up in the UK each year. This year has been a bit special where Painted Lady's are concerned, and there are literally millions, in the UK this year. :D
