2nd Brood Wood White

This weekend I am visiting Oaken Wood and Botany Bay (been before - very nice) and Ebernoe Common.
I have never been to Ebernoe Common before, so some advice as to best spots etc will be welcomed.
I also wonder if there are any good locations for Brown Hairstreak nearby?

Ebernoe Common is a really lovely and quiet place. I've never managed to see Wood White there though and I think possibly they only make it that far south from it's Surrey/Sussex border stronghold in good years. Please post here if you find any.

I particularly like the clearings at the south of the wood, and Furnace Meadow is fun too. I'm sure you'll have a good time wherever you go in the area. Oh and make sure you visit the Stag at Balls Cross.

I am actually staying just in the woods at the southern side of Ebernoe, and plan to walk to the The Stag on Friday or Saturday night, and probably crawl back .
