I've just corrected the Wikipedia entry, which should now read:

"Malva species are used as food plants by the larvae of some Lepidoptera species, ironically not including the Grizzled Skipper, Pyrgus malvae".

Peacock Butterfly? It makes a kinda hissing noise by rubbing the hairs near its head with its wings.

There is one species of moth in the UK that is also found in Europe, but in the UK its restricted to a certian part of the UK and its name reflects this (It is called the same in Europe). What is the moth species?

A wild guess, Kentish Glory (Endromis versicolora) or Devonshire Wainscot (Mythimna putrecens)
(I don't know very much about moths  )

Sorry, not those two. The Kentish Glory is restricted to the highlands of Scotland, with possibly still an isolated population in Worcestershire (It was found only in kent, hence the name but its not restriced there anymore). And I have not heard of the other one, This moth I mean is restriced to this area in the UK and has not been found outside it anywhere else in the UK.

Yes :D Its confined only to the Burren in Ireland an nowhere else in th UK, was discovered in 1949 and its found in Europe. Also it does not look anything like other members of its family as far as I know. Unlike other moths like the Kentish Glory which have names of where they were discovered, most of those are found outisde that area in the UK, but not the burren green. Over to you Trev.

...... OK, here's a real noodle-scratcher for you. ....

Which British butterfly's former name connects it to a tourist attraction designed for the Millenium?

Nope,
I can see where you are coming from Gary, but the connection is not a visual one...
...and the Dome is not the attraction I was thinking of
Clue: The name of the attraction and the historical name of the butterfly are the same.

You are getting very warm Denise - In fact, your first sentence is half correct...
It isn't the peacock butterfly though. So, which butterfly is it?
