2010 Photography Workshop

Post by Pete Eeles »

Hi folks - thanks to Gary (Gruditch) again! ... I can now confirm this event. Although some details are yet to be fleshed out, we have most of the important bits sorted.

First off - I can confirm that the event will be held on Saturday 24th April at a hall close to Martin Down in Hampshire (more details in due course). Matthew Oates has also kindly agreed to be our guest speaker.

As usual, this will be an all-day event. The cost is TBD but will be somewhere between £5 and £10 per person. Not only do we want to cover costs, but also make a donation to Butterfly Conservation. This event will be run in conjunction with the Hampshire Branch of BC.

Please reply to this thread to reserve a place (or email me at pete@ukbutterflies.co.uk). Some places are being "held back" for Hampshire members since some are not "on the web" and will be contacted via the Hampshire newsletter.

Any questions - just ask!

Cheers,

- Pete

If it is fair, would I be able to hold an 'if place'. I ask as the only way I will be able to come, is if I could drive myself there. Which means I have to be able for a start and have passed in time.
Only if it's fair for everyone else, I don't want to reserve a place and be unsure when someone who knows for certain can't get one.

So that I don't have to keep repeating myself ... :)

... anyone responding to this thread requesting a place can assume that they have a place until I say "STOP"!

If you no longer require a place then please let me know, since you may end up preventing someone else attending.

Cheers,

- Pete

Would anyone be interested in buying plants/flowers at the meeting? If so, is there any type in particular you would find interesting?

Yes please Susie,

Fleabane, Soapwort, Rosebay Willowherb, Autumn Hawksbit and anything else that butterflies and moths like.
I wouldn't turn my nose up at a Fuchsia either. ( I wouldn't mind if an egg or two happened to be on any of the plants  ) Oh, and Honeysuckle.
Of course generous donations to BC :D
