Looks like an aberrant Marbled White. ab. rubra seems close-ish!

I would have called this one M. lachesis, except that has not been found in GB.

Hi Cheddar Caveman,

May I ask where the photo was taken - this is an aberration that is a speciality of an area not too far from Cheddar!

Although nationally very scarce indeed there are a couple of sites on Mendip where this form does crop up with regularity.
