Picos de Europa.

Hi all, I finally managed to get to the Picos in Northern Spain, lots of new Butterflies and Moths and a great place to visit.
Here are a few that i am not sure off, any help would be great.
1, Piedmont Ringlet.
2, Idas Blue.
3, Amandas Blue.
4, Little Blue.
5, Provencal Fritillary.
These are my id`s, Lots more to go after these. Steve

Hi Steve. Your last picture is a knapweed fritillary, Melitaea phoebe, subspecies occitanica. It's difficult to confirm idas on just that view - it could be silver-studded - but equally, it could be idas. All other things being equal, I'd actually go for silver-studded.

I can't confirm the little blue definitively either. If this is something you need identified, do you have any other pictures of it?

Thanks for thay Guy, The little Blue id is not important, I spent 1 week in the Picos and without specifically looking for Butterflies i did try and id and photograph whatever i saw during my walks, I saw around 50 Species including Large Wall Brown, Black Veined White, Dusky Heath, Duke of Burgundy, Purple Emperors, Scarce Swallowtail, Queen of Spain, Loads of SPB Frits and DG Frits, Purple Shot Copper, Spotted Frit and so on.

Re Picos visit, did you stay at Tudes near Potes?
Perhaps someone could identify this frit for me, taken in that area late June.

That's a knapweed fritillary, Melitaea phoebe. The giveaway is the greatly extended submarginal lunule on the forewing, in space 3. In Iberia, knapweed fritillaries are brighter than in much of Europe and lack spots on the hindwing.

Thanks for that Guy, I was pretty convinced, especially after looking at your website, but I'm no expert especially in europe as opposed to the UK.
I live on the Norfolk coast where our only local frit is Dark Green.
