Hazelbury

Post by Simon C »

Marsh frits were out in good numbers last Saturday, al over the site but mostly the lower corner. Also dingy skippers in very strong numbers, but no adonis blues seen.

The field to the SW also has a good colony of DS in it, and looks like it would suit Dukes, although sadly I failed to turn any up.

Too windy for photography on the whole, but one keeper.

Nice shot.

Eccels & I were there on Thursday & the Marsh Frit's could be found all over the common. 20+ were counted just from walking the common (top to bottom) so there were probably many more around the whole common & many DS toward the lower as you say.

Also Small Blue's in the odd down park & ride :D .
