Butterfly music for audio/visuals

Post by chitin »

Using Elements Four I have made several wildlife audio/visuals, the soundtrack often deciding the topic. I have made so far Flamingos to "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy," Close ups of eyes of wildlife creatures including pictures taken at Zoos etc., to what else but "Brighteyes",Coastal scenery and seabirds to excerpt from "The Onedin Line" and Bumblebees to what else but " Flight of the Bumblebee". So far a specific soundtrack to a butterfly A/V eludes me, any ideas ? Otherwise will fall back on some background tranquil nature music with birds twittering from Garden Centre CD's. AV's are great fun, very easy and very creative, please blag my ideas, you are very welcome. For public performances of a non commercial nature a license is recommended and is available for less than a tenner a year, will post details if required. You will need a digital projector to project them.

Hi Chitin. I have been wondering how to do the same things, add music to my butterfly videos/images to make good videos. I have made these before and thought it might give you some hints:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJU7k7qEPJE - A promo for my website
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a26eZDzA1_4 - A video I made on butterflies of the UK, part 1.

If its video clips you have, its best to do a "blend" if you have natural bird sounds and wildlife sounds in video of butterfly. I mean getting the music in such a way so that it and the sounds of the wildlife lie birds can be heard as well as the music.

Don't know if this will help you or not.
Cheers all,

Hi Dave, looked at your videos, super what I could see , afraid I couldn't see as much as I would like as they only ran for a few seconds , perhaps 'cus I,m only on Dial Up.Fraid i'm not too good on computer technology, but got the gist. My A/V's are not video but single slides that "dissolve" from one to another. The program on Photoshop Elements allows you to automatically set the music to end as the slides end. Did a coastal A/V as well to Acker Bilks "Stranger on the Shore" Seals,Seabirds and things.

Hi Dave, Might do a butterfly A/V to "In an English Country Garden" or perhaps just the flowers.

I understand what you mean now. I had a few thoughts. Maybe if you can get a piano version of Debussy Clare de la lune, it might work as I kinda think it might fit for butterflies or "Watermark" by Enya, it could go well. You would probably go for something soothing, I tend to when making my butterfly videos.
