id help again for 2 little uns

two pics taken today, that need id help, i think the first is a large white, possibly female, and the second is a male holly blue.

Hi Algol,

Yes, those are both right. The first is a female large white and the second is a holly blue. Can't really tell from underside if that's is a male, but male holly blues are all blue on upperside and females have dark parches on upperside of wings.

cheers dave, the little holly blue wouldn't open its wings, but when it flew away it was blue above also

Difficult to tell conclusively, but the abdomen of the blue appears to me to be long and slim, suggesting that it's a male. I've seen very few in my area so far this year.
