Adonis blue at Hazelbury Common

Post by eccles »

I was rather fortunate to get adonis and common blues sharing the frame, snapped today in rather overcast conditions at Hazelbury today. It's easy enough to tell which is which. :)

Thanks both.
@Mark, they were on the larger part of the common to the right of the single track road when looking down from the Hazelbury Manor entrance. There are several stands of the purplish wildflower in the pics towards the bottom left. All the blues, chalkhill, common and adonis seemed to like it. I did have a look along the roadside part to the left but only saw common plus the odd chalkhill there.

Thanks Gwen. I'd still trade them for your purple emperor. :)
