Floods

Post by Susie »

After the torrential rain last night some areas around here are under water. In particular one place which was very popular with orange tips last year, can a chrysalis survive under water? I assume not.

I am wondering the same too about how this will affect the butterflies, the fields and places where I go butterflying are underwater too. The pretty quiet river burst it's banks....
With all this bad wintery weather, does that mean we will get a decent summer this year? (every time these couple of years when ever I have travelled in the summer in the UK, it has rained....)

Sorry to hear about floods, never knew anything about them, been sunny here, snowy in places. Just remember, there has been floods beforeacross England and many of the butterflies have continued to survive, so don't think anything bad will happen just yet. Thats me though, stay optimistic
