I've had the most beautiful book as a present. Its big and in full colour with glossy pages. The photos are fantasic and the information to match. There's a photo like Denise's Swallow Tail and the flower that its on is Wild Carrot, did you know that the Orange Tip caterpillar's first meal is their eggshell not all eat their eggshell but others will die if deprived of it. There's a photo of a large fir tree completly covered in Monarch butterflies. The chapters are Identity Transformation maturity and survival 278 pages of butterflies and moths. Photos of close up and personal, the different spots on the wings. Very close ups of the caterpillars. My best pressy Did you know that of moths and butterflies there are 165,000 species found the world over. Thomas was born and lives in Switzerland.

Someone knows you very well, Shirley! What a lovely present.
My best gift this year was a packet of Strepsils.

Awwww, Guy!
That sounds like a lovely book, Shirley.
I got a tripod for my camera so no excuse next year for out of focus shots.

I got this book not long after it came out, see: http://www.ukbutterflies.co.uk/phpBB2/v ... f=1&t=2291 and that guy reminds me of me. I loved nature and photography and when I was 17 I got my first camera and spent my younger years (7-12 or so) breeding butterflies and so on, and it would be nice if one day I ended up like him.
Cheers all,
