Sony a6700

Post by _astralis »

Hi all,

I currently use the Canon 7d and 100mm L macro lens for my butterfly photography and the quality of the photographs is stunning. However, I'm on the hunt for some new kit: something a bit smaller and lightweight, something i can use for travel also, and i came across the Sony a6700. Is there anyone here who uses this camera for butterfly photography at the moment and can recommend it? Will i get comparable photos to my current set up? I cant really find much information relating to using this camera for butterfly photography online so i would love to hear from anyone who has first hand experience. I haven't got the the point of looking at macro lenses yet but i imagine the Sony 90mm macro would do the job, though id prefer something a bit longer at 100mm. I especially like the idea of the focus bracketing feature on the a6700.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated :) Thanks!

Gill
