Spotted on my local patch today, this small copper aberration.

Such an aberration is extremely rare.

The website shows images at a maximum resolution of 800 x 800, so anything that size or larger would be appreciated.

I submitted a similar abberation to UKButterflies not long ago, identified as Schmidti or something, but this example is a full open wing shot and is much clearer. Good one David. :)

Good point. And that's a pretty rare critter too!

I think I need to move closer to a nuclear power station :)

Hinkley Point is supposed to have a good butterfly reserve attached to the power station...not sure about the aberrations, though!
