Uk Butterflies calendars in the post !

Post by Gruditch »

The 2009 UK Butterflies calendars have been posted today, Friday 28Th Nov. So you should all be getting your calendars in the next few days, I hope your happy with the results, and once again thank you for your support. :D

As Pete has said before, this year was just an experimental year.
In order to see this was going to be a worth while venture, all we needed to do was, make a nice calendar, sell a few copies, and NOT make a financial loss.

In the end we sold 75 copies and were able to donate the £335.76 to Butterfly Conservation, not bad for an experimental year. We've learnt some valuable lessons, and I'm confident that if Pete wants to make a 2010 calendar, we can make real go of it next year.

Hi Gruditch,
Many thanks for all the hard work you've put into this. I'm sure BC will be as pleased to get the £300+ as I will be to get such a great calendar :D As you say, in future (with wider and earlier advertising) this could become a significant fund-raiser. I'm glad I ordered enough to keep one 'boxed', as I fully expect to see the originals going for a small fortune on one of the daytime 'antique' programmes (but hopefully not anything hosted by the dreadful Lorne Spicer  ).

Mine arrived safely, and well packaged today.
Thanks for all the effort - really worthwhile.
Sorted out some of my present problems (present as in "gift", not present as in "now").

And thanks also to Gary for my two. I received a card from the postman while I was out. Annoying, but this time I was pleased that he was thoughtful enough not to try to crush the calendars to get them through the letterbox, so they are both intact.

I got mine on Friday.
Many thanks to everyone who made this project work. From Pete, Gary and the committee (Eccles and Kipper) and to Shirley who came up with the idea. And a huge thanks to the photographers, without whom the calender wouldn't be possible.
Well done all.

They only took a couple of days I think, Gary, but I was out when they arrived so had to go and collect them from the area office, then I was a bit slow in acknowledging them. Apologies. :)
