Gatekeeper aberration?

Post by Stevieb »

Hi all,

I came across this Gatekeeper this lunchtime. Is it Subalbida or antilacticolor or neither? Bewley Common, Wiltshire

Many thanks, in advance

It's difficult to say with worn examples like this one whether it started life like this or whether it has just aged to a paler shade. I'm inclined to say "within normal variation" - certainly it is not uncommon to see Gatekeepers that look like this.

Cheers,

Thanks Dave

That was one of my considerations too.
