Majorca in October.

I am visiting Majorca in early October and will be looking for Butterflies inbetween cycling up and down the hills near Pollensa, looking on the web i read that Striped Grayling and Two Tailed Pasha should be around, does anyone have any ideas as to what else i may find. Steve

Just back from Majorca, Weather Brilliant, :D Butterflies disapointing, :(
Red Admiral, 1
Cleopatra, 2
Whites, numerous
Speckled Wood, 4
Painted Lady, 1
Swallowtail, 2
Clouded Yellow,1
And the 2 pictured below which i think Long tailed Blue? and a Geranium Bronze?

Not quite. The C. marshalli (Geranium) is correct, but the other one is not the normal Long-tailed (L. boeticus), but the close species Leptotes pirithous. I seem to recall the common name had the tail as part of it, though. :D

Yep - Geranium Bronze (Cacyreus marshalli) and Lang's Short-tailed Blue (Leptotes pirithous).

Thanks JKT/Pete, i should have got the Lang`s myself as it is on the same page as Long Tailed Blue in Collins :? , next Holiday in March to southern Spain which i hope will be a bit more productive. Steve
