Nabbed!

I went to my local hotspot (emphasis on the hot!) for White-letter Hairstreak. One obliged nicely then later I spotted anther individual being nabbed by a spider. What happened next is something I've never seen before. The butterfly opened it's wings fully flat. Maybe the spider's venom was paralysing it.
Their upper sides are quite drab. Needless to say I didn't interfere with nature and left the poor thing to it's fate.
