Strange Looking Meadow Brown

Post by mvpike »

Came across this bizarre individual at Garston Wood, Dorset this morning.

Have never seen one with a full white border! ab or just a variation it looks quite attractive, at least for a Meadow Brown anyway . . . . . .

Thanks for all the replies. Good to know it is an ab . . . .

Around the time I photographed this one there were at least a dozen or so persons looking to the trees for Purple Emperors not too far away from me.

I was just content with boring Meadow Browns!! :D
