Durham-Edmundbyers

Post by Andrew R »

Yesterday 3-8-06, I went walking near the village of Edmundbyers and found a butterfly haven.
Ok nothing rare but 40+ Peacocks, 12 Small Copper, 6 Large White, 20+ Small White, 10 Red Admiral, 8 Painted Lady, 12 Small Tortoiseshell and 3 Comma.

Now this is the best part..............all on a large area of thistles!

It was like being in a butterfly farm.

What a great place.

Thanks Andy :)
