Trying to convince myself of Brown Argus

Post by kevtubb »

I need a little help. I took the following shots at Beacon Hill Hampshire last weekend.

I am trying to convince myself that it is a Brown Argus. I didn't get the underwing very well but it looks good against the notes on this website.

Can anyone confirm that it is a Brown Argus or is it just a Common Blue

Regards

A big clue is the long and thin abdomen, meaning that this is a male, which can only therefore be a Brown Argus.

Cheers,
