Goldie M
Re: Goldie M
Thanks Wurzel and David for your posts, I've been busy in the house trying to sort things out so I've not strayed too far, trouble is nobody wants to visit so looks like the house viewing is going quiet for a while which is just as well in the circumstances .
I also got some bad news this week , my Sister-in-Laws Husband passed away with the Virus It seems to me like the younger generation don't care too much, I saw the news about Nottingham and they were all out-side the pubs there, I wonder if any of their families will get it because of their actions.
Take care and stay safe, Goldie

Re: Goldie M
Such a shame about your sister in law's husband, Goldie. The UK seems to be having 20,000+ cases and 500+ casualties every day now. One can only hope that the latest lockdown will bring these numbers down significantly, and that the vaccine that has been publicised lately can be rolled out within the next few weeks in such a way that we can begin to get on top of this epidemic in early 2021.
You're right to be patient and pragmatic. There's no other sensible option in all honesty.

Re: Goldie M
Hi! David , many thanks for your posts, we've got hope at last with this vaccine , I know when it's available I'll be on the front row
Nothing much doing here at present, nobody viewing, I've even thought I'd stay put, then I think of all those lovely Butterflies I'm missing out on and change my mind
I was looking back on my first sighting this year of the Chalkhill Blues and it convinced me to press on regardless Goldie

Re: Goldie M
I can see why those images would have you hankering after the move again Goldie Hopefully things will turn a corner in the next few weeks - the R number is one the way down and fingers crossed for the vaccine

Hi! Wurzel, thanks for your post, I'm looking forward to next year now, house sale or not I've just been out feeding the Birds and guess what!! Bulbs are already coming up Good sign I'd say. Goldie
Re: Goldie M
Those Chalkhills are amazing, Goldie! I've seen groups of them down on the ground settled on something unpleasant, but those seem to be just clustered on the plants. Great shots.
It's probably the worst time of year for house sales in normal times, but things usually pick up after Christmas, so with a bit of luck 2021 will bring you what you're hoping for. Fingers crossed!

Re: Goldie M
Hello Goldie .
Just seen your Chalkhill shots from TE/L ,I reckon ,that one of the numerous dogs (or foxes ...................or even cattle !) had pre -"watered "
the plants that your Chalkhills are clustered on .................just a thought !

Re: Goldie M
The image speaks for itself, Goldie. You won't see things like that in the north west, sadly.
Personally, having moved from Manchester to Swansea over ten years ago I'd never go back. I'd lose so many precious butterflies as well as the milder climate!
Re: Goldie M
Many thanks every one, I couldn't see what the Butterflies were landing on Dave, but I guessed it would be some thing unpleasant
I have decided to take the Bungalow off until Spring , I'm wondering now about Christmas and what's going to happen, I've just heard my eldest Grandson has the virus What else can happen !!!!!
Hi! Allan, I think your right about the Chalkhills ,It was at TE I saw them, I've never seen so many at one time I really enjoy going there, I nearly alway s get shots of some thing different, this time it was those Small Blue.
Hi! David, I love living here and I know if I move I'll miss the hills and being so near the Lakes , but having all my family down South, and it seems every time I visit them the weather is good, not to mention all those lovely Butterflies, I'd be crazy not to move, having said that I think I was lucky this time not to be down there with my Grandson having caught the Virus. Now I'm too far a way to know what's going on though! I can't win
The weather isn't too good here at present, ( that's a surprise ) I'll pacify myself with a Hot Chocolate, take care everybody, keep safe . Goldie

Re: Goldie M
After a truly horrible day yesterday, I was surprised when going into the kitchen to put the light on I found it already bright in there from the moon
I quickly went for my camera ( which hadn't been used for days) to take a few shots thinking any moment it would be covered with clouds.
After days of dark ,wet ,windy, weather, it was great to see some brightness, I've put a shot in my post to prove I really saw the Moon We also had a frost this morning and snow is forecast for the Pennines and Scotland, That, I hope we miss Goldie

Great Moon shot Goldie. Lovely and clear, even some of the craters are discernable.
Great stuff,
Trevor.

Just seen your shot of the moon Goldie...lovely
I must try and get a few shots myself next time we have a full moon on a clear night.
Cheers,
Neil.

Re: Goldie M
Well, I woke up this morning to a snowy scene, it really felt like Christmas I didn't make my trip to Kent unfortunately , we thought it was a bit risky,
so I'd to settle for a lonely Christmas , I wasn't on my own though, all over the country people are in the same boat, thank goodness for the telephone lets hope next year this is all over with and we can get back to normality , Happy New Year to every one, Goldie
