- do you, members of this website/forum, organise some meetings for butterfly walks or something?
Marcin,
We had one formal get-together this year (early on) as a Photographic Workshop. Several people gave talks, primarily on butterfly photography. There was also a really good critique session where photos were shown and constructively criticised.
It was a hugely enjoyable event, and great to meet so many like-minded people.
We have twice had informal meetings at Glapthorne for the Black Hairstreak and a pint. Again very good fun, and (for some) a chance to see a special insect.
Mostly we seem to have informal small meetings, some by design, some by accident.
I have met about 20 of the most regular contributors on this site, and some have become very firm friends. I am sure others will too.
I think the nature of this site is that the formal meetings will continue to happen, and I have high hopes of another Photography Workshop. However, a posting with "I am going to Martin Down on Saturday - anyone fancy meeting up?" will probably get a favourable response.
Looking forward to meeting you soon, and I must say I love your photos-
Roger
