Field Guide to the Caterpillars of Britain and Europe

Post by Darter »

Hi.

I wondered what everyone thinks about the Field Guide to the Caterpillars of Britain and Europe by Carter,DJ. & Hargreaves,B.

It's been out of print since 2002 and according the a recent communication I've had with the publishers, HarperCollins, it's not due to be reprinted anytime soon, if at all.
Is it worth trying to get a campaign together to get it reprinted (would probably need 1500-2000 orders before they'd consider it due to the printing costs involved) or is the information it contains too out of date now?

I've got Porter's Colour Identification Guide to Caterpillars of the British Isles but it's a bit too big to carry around in the field.
