Aberrant Marbled White with yellow underside

Post by Devon Dave »

Spotted this possible Aberrant Marbled With flitting around a local Devon meadow. Its upper wings were normal except for a noticeable thin yellow band to the upper forewings, buts its underside hind wings were patterned in yellow rather than Black and white. Any comments welcome.

The yellow forewing band and undersides indicate this is a female. It's looks like a normal female in your pictures :)

Many thanks indeed with your help on that and clarification of gender appearance. She was very yellow which foxed me,
Dave.

A mating pair can show the difference between the sexes.
