Ok, there's several of my photos in various other threads on here, but seems like a good idea to gather them all together in this part of the Forum. I have vast numbers on 35mm film from the days before digital, but my scanner doesn't produce results worthy of this Forum, so all these were taken with my trusty Olympus digital compact.
Starting with my favourite species. Not rare or exotic, just beautiful!
Next a Comma, well camouflaged whilst drinking.....
.... until it opened it's wings
and here, a pair of Small Torts., doing... I'm not sure what!
Some of my pics
Just a few more for now
A male and female- presumably- Small Heath. But which is which?
and here, a Small Copper standing guard over his territory. He launched himself at anything that dared fly close, then returned to his perch
a Holly Blue that's had a nip from a bird, I think
and one drinking from a muddy path

Great pics!
Isn't it lovely, at this time of year (and even more so in mid-winter) to browse pictures from the summer gone by...
As far as I'm concerned, you can post as many pictures as you want and we will enjoy browsing them, but you might like to do a gallery on this site, where your pictures will be more easily accessible. Click here: http://www.ukbutterflies.co.uk/galleries.php for our galleries.

PS - Small skipper!!

Thanks for the comments folks. I have more to post, but not enough, I think, to put up a gallery. Anyway, here's some more:
Didn't know what those 2 Torts were up to, but know exactly what's going on here!!
Male and female Meadow Browns:
Not a butterfly, I know, but couldn't resist- Jersey Tigers, in Jersey.
This one on YELLOW buddlea- never seen that before!
and a couple from other threads- Orange Tip
and Marbled White.
