Chalkhill Blues - St Catherines Hill Winchester

Post by Piers »

What fool is responsible for grazing the south facing slopes so tightly that the land is all but devoid of vegetation??

Haven't Hampshire Wildlife trust heard of the expression 'mosaic of habitats'?

Bang goes another lovely little Chalkhill Blue population, and one of the few sites where one could see and photograph the male aberration fowleri. Alas no more...

Felix.

Hi Felix,
Unfortunately this widespread (mis)practice continues unabated. In the end, only an armed revolution might be necessary to halt it. Certain 'instruction manuals' are long overdue for a re-write.
