Can someone help me with these blues please.

Post by PaulJBN »

I find them terribly difficult to tell apart.
I think they are mostly just common, but there may be a Holly and I think a couple are certainly ChalkHill.
Some confirmation from the experts would be nice. They are all from the south Oxfordshire area.
In no particular order and apologies if some are the same butterfly !

My thoughts:

Common (male)
Common (male)
Common (female)
Common (male)
Common (male)
Common (male)
Common (male)
Chalkhill (male)
Chalkhill (male)
Chalkhill (male)
Holly (female)
Common (male)
Common (male)

Cheers,
