A fantastic selection Gary. Love the Frits, and those are some great abs you've seen.

Thanks for the comments, Guys.
It been a while since my last update. I have been trying to update my dairy for over a week now without success.
18th-21st of June 2018. I stop off at Rowsland Wood after work for a few evenings. My hope was to try and get a really nice shot of the White Admiral, but I found a few other things as well.

Re: Gary.N
When the King of the Emperors (Neil Hulme) asks you if you would like a guided tour of Knepp to see the Purple Emperors it is impossible to say no. Theresa and I turn up at 9am and their was Neil with a container full of shrimp bait. Has we walked the Emperors were building in numbers and Neil put his very smelly bait down as he went. Once he had finished putting his bait out we continued on a bit to see if there were any emperors on the oak at the end of the track. There was but they were at the top of the oak. So we started back and saw an Emperor on the second to last bait he put down.
Once he had flown off we continued on back down the track around a corner at a big oak tree and we couldn't believe our eyes as a cloud of Emperors were chasing each other. 7 in total.
Thanks Neil. It is always an experience with you and it will be a day I with remember.

Sounds like a fabulous experience, Gary. As you say, when Mr Hulme comes calling you need to put everything else to one side!

It feels like it has been a slow start to my Butterfly year after the warm spell in Feb. I got my first 2 butterflies in the same shot.
Then the weather each weekend until now has been cold in some form. But I am trying to make up for it now. Here are some shots so far this Easter weekend.
Re: Gary.N
Some wonderful Green Hairstreak images there, Gary.
Time to start visiting Abbots Wood, I think!.
See you around,
Trevor.

Wonderful shots of the Hairstreaks Gary. I've wanted to see a mating pair since forever!
Re: Gary.N
Gary. Greenstreaks mating! And on a gorse flower too. I love the green/yellow combination in the pic.

Well I'd say that's a damn good start to your season
Some addictions are good for the soul!
Re: Gary.N
That is a cracking start to the season Gary The first shot is a blinder and then the standard remains equally as high. The mating pair of Greenstreaks are the stars of the show

Re: Gary.N
I love the first shot of the Peacock and Red Admiral together. A cracking selection to follow too, particularly the Green Hairstreaks with the pair in cop.
Cheers,
Neil.

Re: Gary.N
Superb selection, Gary. It's hard to pick a favourite -the Peacock and Red Admiral image is an interesting one, but for rarity value it has to be the mating pair of Green Hairstreaks, something I've only ever seen on two occasions.
Re: Gary.N
Great stuff Gary, the Hairstreaks are fantastic.
Re: Gary.N
Love the Green Hair Streaks Gary, also the shots of the Green Veined White are out standing Goldie
Re: Gary.N
Thankyou for all the lovely comments guys. I cannot believe that it was Easter since my last post. It has been one thing after another and I have spent way to much time on my way home from work at Rowland's.
It also been a busy time with the pearls. Here are some of this year Pearl shots now that I have been able to start catching up. They were taken at either Abbot's or Rowland's

My Small Pearl season started off on the 16th of May. I had been look for days to see if they were still there. I didn't him until 7:10pm just sitting on a bluebell just finished drying his wings. Here are my Small Pearl pics from this year so far.
