Hi can anyone help identify this taken at Crockford Bridge in the New forest

I like the easy ones. That's a meadow brown.

Thanks Eccles my book shows a Meadow Brown as quite a bit different so i just wanted to double check

I'm not 100% sure but I think the rear underwing of the male is less patterned than that of the female, making yours a male. If your book shows a female then that would account for the difference.
