More Pyrgus ID Help

The following photo taken in the Parc du Mercantour at 1000m. ID help for the Pyrgus needed (no underside pic).

HI Kevin. I think you've uploaded the wrong picture - no Pyrgus there unless it's very well camouflaged!

Hi Guy. Apologies for the confusion - it's the correct pic just the wrong Subject line :oops:

Ah!

The discrete subapical spots point to silver-spotted (rather than large).

You must have been with me when you got that shot, Kev, as I have one with that Turquoise Blue and Pearly Heath alongside the same Skipper.

Must admit, I passed it off as a Large Skipper so it's interesting to note that it's an SSS.
