Scottish Moths

Post by bugboy »

I've not managed to come up with anything for these two moths I found in the Scottish Glens at the beginning of June. Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks in advance :)

I think the one from North Shian is Bactra lancealana, quite a variable species. The other looks like a pyralid but not sure which one.

Thanks Nigel :) , Google found me one with very similar markings and habitat looks good as well. Yes Pyralid (or possibly Crambidae) was my thinking as well but I can't find anything as nondescript as mine :?:
