A day and a half after the worst downpour in living memory and one of the main roads out of town(Crewkerne) is still closed!.A friend was coming to meet me with some exotic livestock the evening of the storm.I risked driving through the water to him on the other side of the flooded road and am glad to say that Monarch larvae and sixty odd assorted exotic pupae are safely in warmth .Our house remained dry thank goodness.Others werent so lucky and have the sad cleaning and drying out process to do.My wife and sons helped some neighbours avoid water getting in.And were awarded with flowers and small gifts in thanks which was a nice surprise.
