Clouded Yellow (9)
African Grass Blue (9) at one site only
Painted Lady (7)
Lang's Short-tailed Blue (2) at one site only

I know Monarchs are present on Tenerife, Vince, but has their range extended to Lanzarote?

Not that I am aware of David, but my reference material is a bit out of date.

Danaus plexippus is present on Lanzarote as well, see the article of Martin Gascoigne-Pees:
https://www.researchgate.net/publicatio ... omic_notes
It was rather widespread in Fuerteventura (near human settlements and in the slightly more humid parts of barrancos in the more hilly parts, not in the large desert like parts) when I was there early february. More on my sightings of last january-february (Gran Canaria & Fuerteventura) on my blog: http://westpalbutterflies.blogspot.be/2 ... chive.html

I can't open those papers, but I saw Monarchs on Lanzarote in 2011.
