UKBers might be interested to know that a key to the identification of Pyrgus species has been produced by Cédric Jacquier in January 2017. It uses photographs from my site and leads through a series of logical steps to eliminate certain species and narrow down the options to one species. Many thanks to Cédric for producing this valuable resource. The key can be accessed here: http://files.biolovision.net/www.fauneg ... 1-7022.pdf
It is in French but is largely visual, so hopefully quite usable even for those with no/limited French.

Thanks Roger (Cédric also) for sharing ! Excellent work and worth keeping with Tolman ! I have such great difficulty with the pyrgus that most of my pictures are left with a question mark.
I will certainly give it another go.

An excellent resource! Many thanks for sharing.

That's ingeniously annotated, so Guy and Roger don't use witchcraft to separate these species as I always thought afterall . My French is 30 year old CSE level (next to useless) so this also shows the importance of scientific names.
