French moths ID

Post by CFB »

Could some kind soul please identify these two moths for me. The first one was small, and more black and white than the photo indicates.

The second one was disturbed when I was watering the garden. It flew from one plant pot to another more than two hours ago, and is still there. So I assume that it is a night-flying moth.
