A day flying moth in N/E Spain for ID please, I can't find it in my GB moth book.

Not sure what the marking on the right hind-wing is doing, but this is Itame vincularia.

I also noticed the black spot on only the right hind-wing too, it's not on any pics. on the internet?

Thanks again Mike for your help, I must get a book on European moths, any suggestions?

If you have lots of birthdays this year, Patrice Leraut's Moths of Europe is an excellent series: http://www.napeditions.com/en/10-butterflies. Four volumes have been published. The fifth, which I presume is the Noctuids, is still in preparation.

Cheers Guy, I'll check my pennies when I get home, plus the kids owe me for my "big" birthday in Feb. whilst I was away in Spain :lol: , no chance!
