I spent the afternoon on a junior nature walk with my nephew (7 years old) at Golden Valley. We found a few butterflies, but not where we were told that they would be! We went to the old former Ochre work site where there is a nice little clearing in the woods very near to the river Boyd. We saw
4 Comma,
6 male and 9 female Brimstones,
My first of the year, Green-viened White. Also 6 Peacocks and 1 male and 4 female Orange-tip.
I think a good afternoon was had by both of us.

Getting the hang indeed, Denise. I liked your peacock too.
