OK - it's not a butterfly but does anyone know what it is?

Discussion forum for any overseas items (given that this is a "UK" butterflies forum!).

Hi,

I photographed this monster in Southern Spain recently. Does anyone out there have any idea what it is? - it was approx 4 inches long.

Would be very grateful of your assistance as I am currently carrying it on my website http://www.stuartelsom.co.uk as a 'bush-cricket sp'.

Many Thanks
