Map Legend

Hi as a new member to the forums can someone please tell me the significance of the different colours on the maps shown for each species please.

Hi Geoff - and welcome to the forums!

Each colour represents a different subspecies, and there should be a key to the colours at the top of each map. However, to see the key, you need to click on the map to see more detail.

Hi Pete thanks for the info, however I made a mistake, it's the colours on the year planner with each species I was refering to especially the grey and black areas

Ah! Yes - it's not obvious is it! The idea is that the "darker" the area, the greater the occurrence. So species emergence ranges from a few (light grey) to more (grey) to most (black). If you can think of a better representation then I'm all ears :)
