aurina/desfontainii

Would someone kindly offer an opinion on this one from Portugal in May. It may be wishful thinking, but it looks more like desfontainii to this inexperienced eye. Any pointers would be very welcome...

Hello Tony,

I would say definitely desfontainii. It is just like the photo in Lafranchis "Papillons de France", the row of black marks being very different to aurina.

Agreed. The prominent black markings on the forewing underside surely rule out anything else.
