Nice Comma PeterD. I've had a couple in the garden before the weather turned cold again. We're not all grumpy, but there are the odd few! (Grudith not included)

Nice to see you here. Hope you enjoy this forum.

Thank you for your welcomes.

I hope to be an active member here, particularly now the weather is picking up :?:

I am just recently into DSLR photography and I have been busy taking images of birds. Not many butterflies around yet and I cannot afford the fare to get to them

I used to be a butterfly collector in my early teens (1955-58) but am glad to say that this is absolutely not necessary any more especially with the advent of digital photography. Damn, I have given my age away

In this day and age, its nice to share moments with nature, take an image for memory, and part company again without causing damage.

PeterD
Kind regards

Peter

Thank you Pete & Martin.

You have all made me feel welcome. As an indication, it gives me a warm feeling about this site. I am glad I joined.

Yesterday, I came across a Peacock butterfly. I have not posted it yet because it was not a good specimen but it does show that it is probably lucky to be alive. It got through the cold spell but it also had a chunk taken out of one wing. Is it OK to post it or not? To me it tells a story.

Cheers for now
