Another collage

Post by agavegeoff »

Hi, everyone.
Another collage with some new and some old friends.
Could not get the Brimstone with open wings.
Hoverfly was big thought it was a wasp at first.
Beetle. Hope its not a Colorado beetle.
The Blue one on the Ivy leaf is near Holly so hope not the same as other Blues. .

Middle top is a male Common Blue
Right hand is a Brown Argus

Middle row:
female Common Blue
female Common Blue
Red Admiral

bottom row:
male Brimstone (the only way you'll get an upperside shot is to capture it in flight with a fast shutter speed, they never settle with their wings open)
Hornet mimic Hoverfly Volucella zonaria
Burying Beetle Nicrophorus sp
